Memo to Bill Parcells: Get To Your Local Chapter of the Anti-Defamation League

So Parcells made a racial slur towards the Japanese. Reading the Cowboys I-don’t-really-mean-it-but-I’ll-say-it-god-forbid-we lose-any-fans apology I saw the dreaded: “I apologize to anyone who may have been offended.”

I love when people say: “I apologize to anyone who may have been offended.” Do you know what they are actually saying? A: They don’t really mean it. It is a nice, seemingly sincere way of brushing off the incident without taking responsibility for their conduct and quietly implying that anyone who was offended is a prissy baby.
